Christopher VanOosterhout
I am a privacy advocate who cares deeply about how our society uses data to make informed decisions while still protecting the privacy, security, and humanity of individuals. As a technology advocate, I am committed to helping organizations use technology in responsible and ethical ways that respect people. Technology should promote freedom and opportunity, not create barriers or bondage.
Vocationally, I am an eBusiness strategist with more than 25 years of experience serving non-profits, local small businesses, and multi-billion-dollar corporations. My work has included director-level oversight of eCommerce operations with more than 500,000 products. My areas of specialization include SEO, SEM, social media, paid online advertising, user experience (UI and UX), and information architecture. I continue this work today through my consulting company, Licentia LLC, which focuses on eMarketing, eCommerce, lead management, social media strategy, and custom CRM implementations for clients in the automotive, insurance, non-profit, and financial sectors.
I actively manage email lists and social media communities with tens of thousands of subscribers and followers. I also oversee both digital and traditional advertising, including online campaigns, television, radio, billboards, out-of-home placements, and sponsorships.
